My candidate for the person of the year is Michael Brown.
Michael Brown has been a victim of racism in our so-called modern 21st. century. He was unarmed, but yet he was shot by a white male police officer. After several months, a grand jury decided the police officer was innocent.
They not only committed this act of injustice, but also crushed the memorial that was made for Michael, and tried everything to stop the protestors who are outraged by the racist approach of the police.
The protests spread quickly, and now they are all over U.S.A. and media is censored. Even to the point that one of the biggest news channels, CNN, refuses to air unbiased footage of the protests and the Ferguson incident.
Lots of news reporters have been taken into custody and there are rumours of police intimidation and assault.
I want him to be chosen as the person of the year, because I don't want this incident to be forgotten. No. I think people should finally learn that even in 21st. century, white domination still exists, that racism is still so common among citizens of U.S. Because this is unacceptable. Are we living in the dark ages? Aren't we the ones who made all those wonderful cultural and scientific developments? What happened? When something like this happens, people's true nature comes out and we see that ignorance still dominates the common conscience. This is so wrong that I don't even know the right words to say it. Because they are taking a person's right to live away, and there are people who actually supports them.
Michael Brown IS the person of the year. No matter what happens, no matter what the government says.
"We don't care what people say, we know the truth!"
