Contextual Grammar: Sentence Types

Declerative Sentence: "Michael Jackson is one of my favorite artists."

Imperative Sentence: "Close that window before it gets cold."

Interrogative Sentence: "Have you ever been to a Lady Gaga concert?"

Exclamatory Sentence: "The concert was extraordinary!"

Simple Sentence: "I went to the cafeteria this morning."

Complex Sentence: "John and Tyler went to play basketball after they finished the exam."

Compound Sentence: "You can run as much as you want, but you won't be healthy unless you have a good diet."

Compound-Complex Sentence: "Lily went to school, but Diana remained at home because she had a headache."
